Activity 1:
A. Poll the class about their favorite colors. use tally marks to record the number of people that like each color.
B. What words can you use to describe your favorite color?
C. Discuss what things are colored with your favorite color and how does that work. Could other colors be acceptable?
Objectives: Students will
learn about the artistic element color, its atributes and purposes.

Activity 2:
A. Create graphs with the data about color preferences
B. Discuss the graphs and how the information is communicated through visual graphics.
Does a graph make it easier to see a graph that all of the information laid out? Compare the different graphs and talk about which is easier to read and which is more aesthetically appealing. Are those things the same?
