We made these mini art museums last year. It was a great project. They took about 12 weeks to make because we explored a lot of different techniques to make our mini art. (WC, color pencils, scratch art, weaving, metal, shrinky dinks, model magic etc.) Everyone brought in a shoe box so that gave us a place to store our work, We put foil on the ceiling and added lights. (They loved this). I bought shelf paper in different wood prints for the floors. I supplies a few display items for their sculptures. I will do this again in a few years. I will limit their themes to things like nature, travel, holidays, sports, food, flowers, beach, etc. They struggled with theme and keeping them too small. We displayed them in the media center for everyone to see. A one day museum event, where classes signed up. A few students from each class were there to be the docents.
